Welcome to Make at Rosie
So they built one.
Cat and Clairissa are raging feminists, activists, and believers that everyone has something worth making. Make at Rosie is the result of that shared vision — a community where people from all walks of life can come together, learn new skills, and find inspiration for their next creative project.
Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just starting out, you belong here.
Make at Rosie started the way the best things do — over crafts, with a good friend, and a shared sense that something was missing.
Cat and Clairissa met in Austin when they were both pregnant, and quickly bonded over a mutual, slightly chaotic love of making things. Shopping sprees at Austin Creative Reuse. Coworking dates with knitting and embroidery in tow. Crafting together was just part of the friendship.
But they kept running into the same problem: there weren’t enough spaces in Austin that felt truly welcoming for people like them. Places that centered women, nonbinary makers, and allies. Spaces that were affordable, inclusive, and actually fun to be in.
